Prepping for My Soft 75 Challenge: The Calm Before July

If you’re reading this, welcome! I’m so happy you’re here.

This week feels a little like standing at the edge of a diving board. I’m excited, nervous, and maybe overthinking things just a tiny bit. On July 1st, I’m starting my version of the Soft 75 Challenge, and instead of jumping in completely unprepared, I’m spending this week getting my life ready. I’ve learned something about myself over the years: I do much better when I have a plan. If I wait until the morning of July 1st to figure everything out, I’ll probably spend more time wondering what to do than actually doing it. So this week is all about preparation!

Planning Before the Challenge Begins

One of the biggest things I’m working on is deciding what I’ll be sharing. I want this blog to be an honest look at what it’s really like to build healthier habits and changing my life, especially when you’re starting from scratch. I’m not aiming for perfection. I’m aiming for consistency. Some weeks will probably be exciting. Other weeks might be a little boring. But I think that’s what real change looks like. It’s made up of hundreds of ordinary days where you choose to keep going. Here’s what I’m thinking I’ll share throughout the challenge:

  • My workouts
  • Weight-loss progress
  • Wins and setbacks
  • Motivation when I have it…
  • And honesty when I don’t.

I want this space to feel like we’re figuring it out together.

Getting My Life Organized

Besides planning content, I’m also getting the little things ready that make healthy choices easier. That means stocking the kitchen with foods I’ll actually eat, cleaning up my workout space, finding clothes that make me feel comfortable, and deciding when I’ll fit exercise into my workday. None of these things are exciting on their own, but together they remove a lot of excuses before they even have a chance to show up. Future Me will be thankful.

My Goals for July

I’m keeping my focus simple. I want to become someone who keeps promises to herself. Of course I’d love to lose weight. That’s one of the reasons I’m doing this. But more than anything, I want to build discipline one small habit at a time. I want to prove to myself that I can show up consistently, even when motivation disappears. Because motivation comes and goes but habits are what stick around.

Join Me

If you’ve been thinking about making a change in your own life, maybe this is your sign to start with me.

You don’t have to be perfect.
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You don’t even have to be confident.

You just have to be willing to take the first step.

I’ll be here sharing the good days, the hard days, and everything in between. Here’s to July, fresh starts, and creating our own Lucky Girl Lifestyle, one day at a time.
